Kimberly "Ella" Smith works with a variety of media ranging from photography to acrylics to hand-painted silk "wearable" art.

Kimberly has been inspired by art since painting and creating clay fish with her grandfather. She received her BFA from Syracuse University, then worked on her craft in New York City for a few years. In 2006, she returned to Seattle, where she opened stir as a gallery/boutique in Pioneer Square for her own work and the work of other local artists.

The Pioneer Square storefront is no longer open, but stir remains active from Kimberly's home studio in South Seattle. stir originals can be seen periodically in Seattle shops.
